Katherine Mullersman, MD, is board certified in psychiatry and fellowship trained in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Dr. Mullersman began her education at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, for her bachelor’s degree and then at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, to earn a Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Certificate. She then matriculated to The University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine to earn her Doctor of Medicine.
To expand her breadth of medical knowledge, she pursued a psychiatry residency through Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. At this time, she completed rotations through the Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, including inpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, consult-liaison, community psychiatry, and inpatient neurology. Finally, she continued on to pursue a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She completed specialized psychiatric training in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient psychiatry for children under 18 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
Dr. Mullersman’s professional interests are in health education. She served as a peer educator for health disparities and personal and professional development. She also taught lectures on clinical aspects of psychiatric care, including inpatient adult psychiatry and emergency psychiatry rotations during her fellowship.
In addition to being an excellent physician, Dr. Mullersman enjoys a good book, is a determined home cook, an avid open-water swimmer, and an enthusiastic fiber artist.
