Acute Care Surgery

Jordan Lilienstein, MD, is board certified in acute care surgery, surgical critical care, and general surgery.

He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis and graduated from the General Surgery Residency Program at UCSF Fresno. He completed his fellowship in acute care surgery at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

Dr. Lilienstein is currently faculty at UCSF Fresno and he previously held the position of Assistant Instructor of Surgery while an acute care surgery fellow at Wake Forest School of Medicine. He currently cares for critically ill trauma and emergency general surgery patients in the operating room, wards, and intensive care unit. He also teaches medical students, residents, and fellows. He has been invited to present both regionally and nationally on his research in trauma and critical care.

His professional interests include trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, critical care, general surgery, medical education, ultrasound, outcomes-based research, and care for under-served populations.

Dr. Lilienstein is a Member of the American College of Surgeons. He is also an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor.

His hobbies include soccer, fencing, hiking, traveling, and reading.
