On behalf of Joyce Fields-Keene, MPA, CMPE, Chief Executive Officer of Inspire Health Medical Group and Board President, Dr. Randall Stern, it is with tremendous sadness and sorrow that we must share the passing of Vipul Jain, MD, Chief of Medicine for UCSF Fresno, Executive Vice Chief of Medicine for the department of Medicine at UCSF, and esteemed physician, clinician, and board member for Inspire Health. Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to Dr. Jain’s wife Ratnali and their two sons, extended family, friends, and colleagues.
Dr. Jain was a critical member of our leadership, deeply committed to medical education and the success of the group. He was appointed Chief of Medicine at UCSF Fresno in September 2023 after having served as interim chief since September 2022, and prior to that as Executive Vice Chief for the Department of Medicine at UCSF Fresno since 2018. He completed residency training in internal medicine at UCSF Fresno and went on to complete a three-year pulmonary and critical care fellowship at UC San Diego before coming back to join the faculty at UCSF Fresno.
Dr. Jain will be missed tremendously and his contributions to UCSF, UCSF Fresno and Inspire Health will be remembered always.
