Muhammad Gul, MD

Pulmonary Critical Care

Muhammad Gul, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease as well as fellowship trained in pulmonary critical care medicine.

Dr. Gul began his medical education at Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan, earning his medical degree. Moving to the States, he then pursued an internal medicine residency at Ascension Saint Joseph, formerly Presence Saint Joseph Hospital, in Chicago, Illinois. Shortly after, he pursued his fellowship in pulmonary critical care at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

He is currently researching bacterial and fungal infections associated with COVID-19. Independently, he developed a machine learning model designed to predict bacterial infections in COVID-19 patients.

Dr. Gul’s native language is Pushto, and he is also conversational in Urdu.
