Cassandra DeWitt, MD, specializes in emergency medicine.

Dr. DeWitt attended Fresno State, earning the Smittcamp Family Honors Scholarship to aid her undergraduate degree. During this time, she double majored in forensic behavioral science and psychology while minoring in physical science. She then pursued her medical degree at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Concurrently, she also pursued her master’s degree in public policy at UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. Finally, she matriculated to UCSF Fresno for her emergency medicine residency, where she was appointed as the chief resident for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Her professional interests include teaching. This varies from teaching mass casualty incident trainings to the local park medics to holding lectures at academic conferences. Dr. DeWitt also published articles on various topics, including health disparities, provider perspectives on healthcare, and voting rights.
