Elizabeth Bruce, MD, specializes in psychiatry.
Dr. Bruce began her education at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences. She then attended Michigan State University in Grand Rapids for her doctorate. Finally, she pursued her psychiatry residency at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Prior to becoming a doctor, Dr. Bruce had a passion for music, even earning a bachelor’s degree in music education in Indiana. She taught choir and music at her local school district, where she organized school-wide concerts and developed curriculum for music appreciation. Through music, she also raised money for local charities. Her passion for caring for her community extends beyond music, as she continues to care for her patients in the clinic setting and psychiatric emergency setting.
When she is not taking care of patients, she enjoys running, writing, and visiting national parks.
