1. Hello,
my name is _______ and I am a volunteer with INPSIREHealth.org. We
are a tax exempt non-profit organization concerned about drug abuse
prevention and we would like to help your business be ready
for the Smoke Free Arizona Law that goes into effect on May 1,
2007.
2. Do you
have a minute or two for me to tell you about our program?
If yes proceed to #3.
If no ask if there is a better
time to talk? Then schedule that time to call back.
You can also ask for their email
address so we can send them more information.
3.
Our Smoke Free Arizona class will teach you everything you need
to know so that when the law goes into effect you will have met
all the requirements and you will not have to worry about having
to pay any fines.
4.
Did you know that placing an international no smoking sign with
a cigarette in a red circle with a slash through it may get the
message across to people coming into your business but it does
not meet the laws signing requirement and could get you a $100
for each door?
5.
Some of the things covered in our class include:
· You
will need to know how the law affects your business
· What
your policy on smoking will be
· How
to notify the public and your employees about the law and your
policy
· Where
and when smoking is allowed and not allowed
· When
smoking is permitted in company owned or operated vehicles
· If
your business or part of your business may be exempt
· Who
can report you for violations
· When
your business may be inspected
· Where
you can leave ashtrays out
· What
you can do with employees who violate the law or complain about
violations
6. The class takes one hour
and costs only $100 which is how much it will cost you the first
time you are fined for not doing what you would have learned in
our class.
